Sarah Guld
Dance Team & Semi-Competitive Team Director
Sarah Guld is a former NBA Dancer for the Philadelphia Sixers. During her training she was seen dancing at Sesame Place as the fun and loving Elmo and Zoe character. While Sarah danced professionally for the Philadelphia Sixers she was given many opportunities to work with various artists like Chubby Checker, Danity Kane, and Will Smith. Sarah would also donate her time to many charities in the Northeast while dancing for the Sixers. She has been training her students in Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Contemporary over the past 8 years. Her choreography has won numerous awards including jazz excellence award, best in show, entertainment award, and choreography awards at various dance competitions. All the time she has spent dancing, teaching, and choreographing; she was still able to receive a Bachelors in Elementary & Special Education at Holy Family University. Sarah continues to stay involved in her community by choreographing middle school musicals and being involved in the music departments at the local schools nearby. Sarah is very dedicated and shows her love and passion for the arts. Countless hours Sarah spends with her dancers to help them achieve and accomplish all of their dreams. Although Sarah is very busy she still finds time to design and create costumes for her students. She likes to call them “SAG Designs” and her students can’t wait for what she has in store for them every year.
Danielle Hetherington
Danielle Hetherington, a 2016 West Chester University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a dance minor. She has been training in all genres of dance since the age of 3 and still continues to further her training. She was a student choreographer for the West Chester University Dance Company in 2014, 2015 and 2016 where she also held an officer position as the Social Chair. During her college training she performed at the American College Dance Association as well as her school concerts from 2013-2016. In 2013 she danced for the Reading Phil’s semi pro dance team. She is a former dance teacher from Lionville School of Dance in Exton, PA while studying at school. She also has been performing in and out of costume at Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA since 2009. She is excited to bring her talent to Kay’s Act II and become another member of the family!
Laura Metzger
Laura is an alum of Kay’s Act II, dancing there from the age of three till she graduated high school. Laura then attended The College of New Jersey, where she was a member of the TCNJ Dance Team, which performed at TCNJ football and basketball games and competed annually at the UDA/UCA College Championships. Laura also served as a captain of TCNJ’s Synergy Dance Company, choreographing and performing in dance routines for various campus events and a yearly dance recital. In 2007, Laura returned to Kay’s as a dance instructor. When Laura is not dancing, she works as a pharmacist at a local hospital.
Ali Vogel
Ali Vogel Bio Ali is a graduate from Shippensburg University where she obtained her BSBA in Accounting. There she danced with the University's dance team, In-Motion Dance Troupe for 4 years. She served as Treasurer on the executive board during her senior year. Prior to college, Ali grew up dancing at Kay's. Ali has great admiration for the studio and staff alike. She wants to be that teacher that helps your student excel in dance. Ali is so excited to begin this new season with you all!
Paolina Capone
Tara Kelly is a graduate of The College of New Jersey and currently teaching our pre-school students and level 1 and 2 ballet students. Miss Tara has completed the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet teacher training program to bring the best education to her students. Professional work includes Trenton Freedom Xtreme Dance Team 2013 to present. Miss Tara also began her dancing her at Kay’s.
Jeanie Chrome
Instructor/ Choreographer
Jeanie Chrome started her dance training at the age of 5 at Kay's Act II Dance Studio in Trevose, PA. Her passion for the sacred ritual of dance and the movement possibilities of the human body led her to continue her dance education after high school. In 2008, she received her B.F.A. in Dance from the rigorous training program at University of the Arts where she majored in Jazz Dance Performance. Ms. Jeanie has performed with some of the most respected choreographers in the tri-state area including Ronen Koresh, Christine Cox, Scott Jovovich, Molly Misgalla, Wayne St David, Kim Bears-Bailey, Donald Lunsford, and Ginger Cox. She danced as a soloist with Alchemy Dance Company for 5 years, as well as RHYP dance company, did industrial work with Mega Productions, Synergic Sounds Entertainment and 2Life Talent, musical theater with Mainstage Theater Company, worked the t.v. pilot for the D-Train Comedy and Variety Show, was the face of Prissy Ballerinas tutu line, performs as a magicians assistant, and judges dance competitions. In July of 2014, she completed the Vaganova syllabus teachers training program under the direction of Mr. John White at the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, and is now certified to teach levels 1-6. Vaganova’s syllabus is a world renowned standard of excellence in the training of ballet students. This amazing experience has completely changed how she instructs class. Ms Jeanie was the owner and artistic director of Releve Dance Academy in Phoenixville, PA for five years where she taught 6 days a week as well as ran and choreographed for the award winning competition team. Her dancers have won titles, some have gone to college for dance and are even dancing and teaching professionally now. Ms. Jeanie is eager to have the opportunity to train new students and to continue to nurture, challenge and motivate dancers to be the very best dancers they can be.
