General dress code

  • All dance attire should be black.
  • No skirts over leotards.

Hair requirement for all classes

All dancers must have their hair securely pulled back in a bun, ponytail, or braids for every class. This helps keep dancers safe, allows instructors to clearly see technique and alignment, and promotes a neat, professional classroom environment.

Dancers will not be able to attend class if they arrive with hair down.

Princess Ballerina

  • Black leotard
  • Pink tights
  • Pink ballet slippers (no front drawstring)

Ballet/Tap Combo

  • Black leotard
  • Pink tights
  • Pink ballet slippers (no front drawstring)
  • Tan tap shoes (no ties)

Tap45–60 min classes

  • Black Oxford lace-up tap shoes

Ballet/Jazz Combo

  • Black leotard
  • Black bike shorts over leotard or pink tights
  • Tan slip-on jazz shoes

Hip HopAll ages & levels

Choose any below

  • Black leotard with black bike shorts
  • or Black tank top or sports bra with black bike shorts

Shoes White Nike Air Force 1 Low sneakers

Ballet45–60 min classes

  • Black leotard
  • Pink tights
  • Pink ballet slippers (no drawstrings or ties)
  • Hair in a slicked-back bun secured with bobby pins

Jazz

Choose any below

  • Black leotard with black bike shorts
  • or Black tank top or sports bra with black bike shorts

Shoes Tan slip-on jazz shoes

Tights are not required.

Lyrical

Choose any below

Important information about tap shoes

  • Please do not purchase tap shoes from Amazon or other discount retailers.
  • Many inexpensive tap shoes contain lead in the taps, which can leave residue on our studio floors. Since many dancers work on the floor, this creates a potential health concern.
  • Tap shoes purchased elsewhere must be from a recognized dance brand.
  • Shoes that do not meet our safety standards will not be permitted in class.
